Ridge Racer Type 4 Codes -

All cars:
Press Start to pause game play at the half way point in the first race in Gran Prix mode. Then, press Square(3), Circle(4), Triangle(2). Note: Press Triangle(3), Circle(4), Square(2) in the Japanese version of the game.

Four player mode:
Connect two PlayStations via a link cable. A "Link Battle" mode that allows a simultaneous four player game will appear.

Bonus vehicles:
Unlock all 320 cars in the game. The Pac-Man character, which can run at 252 km/h, and the Sony Eat'em Up car may now be selected in time attack mode.

Extra Trial mode:
Successfully complete the game in Gran Prix mode.

Motion blur effect:
Press Triangle in replay mode to toggle a special motion-blur effect.

Bonus tracks, cars, and music (Ridge Racer High Spec Demo):
Finish in first place in all time trial tracks and beat the time in all the time attack tracks to unlock the four reversed tracks, eight new cars, and a bonus song. This will also unlock another ending after the replay and other music.

Quick start:
During the countdown at the start of a race, accelerate to keep the RPM gauge at the 12 o'clock position. Shift up to fourth of fifth gear while keeping the RPMs at that level. Hold L2 + R2 when the countdown ends to get off to a quick start.

Rage Racer information:
Use a memory card with a saved game file from Rage Racer to place your old team information on the cars in Ridge Racer Type 4.

Soundtrack:
Play the game disc in an audio CD player. The voice and music from the game can be heard on tracks two through nine. To hear additional music from the game, listen to tracks two and above on the Hi-Spec demo disc.
