Mortal Kombat Trilogy Codes -

Classic characters:
Press Select to choose Rayden, Jax, Kung Lao, or Kano for the classic (Mortal Kombat 1) versions of those fighters.

Stage select:
Highlight Sonya and press Up + Start in one player or Vs mode. The screen will shake and a boom will be heard to confirm correct code entry.

Unlimited kredits:
Press entering Down(x2), Up(x2), Right(x2), Left(x2) at the story screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry. The kredit display will change to "Freeplay".

Fight as Chameleon:
If fighting as player one, choose any male ninja (Reptile, Classic Sub-Zero, Rain, Human Smoke, Ermac, Noob Saibot, or Scorpion) and hold Left + R1 + R2 + Square + Triangle until the fight starts. If fighting as player two, choose any male ninja and hold Right + R1 + R2 + Square + Triangle until the fight starts. Chameleon is a semi-clear ninja that morphs into all the other ninjas in the game. When the fight begins, your ninja will explode and change into Chameleon.

Random character selection:
Hold Up + Start on the Character Select screen. > Red and blue "?" boxes:
Quickly press HK, LK, RUN, LP, HP, HP, HP LP, LP at the story screen. A sound will confirm correct code entry.

"?" on Kube:
Hold Up + R1 + R2 + L1 + L2 and press Up when the square labeled "Konfigure Kombat" is displayed in the Options menu. The screen will shake to confirm correct code entry. The "?" menu will open, and allow the following options to be set:

• One button fatalities: you can finish your opponent by pushing one button.
• Instant aggressor: The Aggressor Meter will fill after one hit.
• Normal Boss damage - A boss's damage will be the same as a normal fighter.
• Low damage: The fighters' damage after each hit is minimal.
• Health recovery: The health meters will replenish by a small amount after every hit

Hint: Pit fatality with one button fatalities enabled:
Enable the "One button fatalities" code and disable blood. Enter a fight with someone in a background. Win two rounds, and hold Down + High Punch (uppercut). Note: You must hold down uppercut at sweep range. Your character will walk over to the opponent, elbow him first, then uppercut him. This works most of the time.

Soundtrack:
Play track two of the game disc in an audio CD player to hear music from the game.

One button fatalities:
Enable one button fatalities by using the "?" on Kube code.

Kombat Kodes:
At the Vs. screen, each player's LP, BL, and LK buttons will set the six boxes at the bottom of the screen. Use the following numbers to represent the symbols that will appear in the boxes. The player on the left controls the first three boxes. The player on the right controls the last three boxes. Tap a button to advance one symbol; hold a button to display the previous symbol.

Hint: Fatality award:
After you win an 8-player game the game give you an award. Go to the last one and it should be a lot of fatalities.

Hint: Fireball Sucker Punch:
Use this trick when playing as one of the Bosses that use a fireball and an uppercut (all but Motaro). This is a deadly tactic to use because the recovery time is so quick. Fire a fireball. This should lure your opponent into jumping. Then, just uppercut him.

Hint: Defeating Shao Kahn:
Select Kintoro, then keep pressing Down(x2), Up. You will go up in the air and slam on top of Shao Kahn. Alternately, select Motaro. Then, keep pressing Back Circle. Alternately, select Scorpion and keep pressing Back(x2), Square.

Hint: Noob Saibot: Easy win:
When playing as Noob Saibot in any of the ways possible (himself, Shang Tsung morphed into him, or Chameleon morphed into him), you can keep throwing your Orb Spinner and your opponent will not be able to do a single thing to you. You can now hammer your opponent to your heart's content. This is extremely effective against Shao Kahn. Do not throw it after one has already taken effect, or you will get an effect like the Double Ice Backfire that Sub-Zero occasionally gets.
The following trick works when you are playing as Noob Saibot, but not fighting a Boss. First, connect with a teleport throw by pressing Down, Up. While the person is in the air, hit them with a Spirit Orb by pressing Down, Down/Forward, Forward. Now run up and do a triple kick by pressing LK, LK, LK. Finally, do a teleport throw before the Spirit Orb wears off. Continue by doing a Spirit Orb, Triple Kick, Teleport Throw, etc.

Glitch: Uppercut your opponent in the Pit while frozen:
Select the Pit stage as classic Sub-Zero. When it gets to danger, use the freeze (Down, Forward, Low Punch), then uppercut into the pit. If timed correctly, your opponent will be still frozen in the ice in the pit.
